Coast To Coast Virtual Poetry Slam, sponsored by Young Voices With New Visions, originated as a response to the quarantine at the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic out of a concern for the well-being of Gifted and High Achieving students. It coincides with the annual National Poetry Month Celebration. Students from across the globe, grades 5-12 are encouraged to submit original work that address the theme "CHANGE." First Place Cash Awards will be given to a student from each of the 3 grade bands: 5-6, 7-8, 9-12. 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive Certificates and Ribbons. All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Students will complete the Submission Form, upload a recording of themselves performing their work, and a headshot . 

The poems will be adjudicated by professional creatives and  educators. Poems that pass the first round of competition will move to the final round on Friday, April 29th when winners will be announced at the C2C Awards Ceremony. ZOOM links will be shared 48-hours prior to the event.
